Would you consider it acceptable to play Ingress in church?

I don't have a problem with it/do it all the time. In fact it's actually a pretty good strategy if the church's portal is modded the correct way (similar to a portal you can hit from your home or work.) Besides if the church is doing that "text the sermon giver questions to answer after the sermon" thing that week tons of other people will be playing with their phones anyway.

Also I am not misusing "literally" like I hate so much when I say "Literally every Ingress player I know who goes to church does this."

What's the f[Inks]ing point of even going if you're not paying attention?

Its quite easy to do both. Especially if just hacking for gear.

Not really, the church is just one portal. You can't do much inside besides hack it for gear until its burned out. And just hacking is boring.
