BRTD: I had to go to a wedding at an Episcopalian church this week and it was so boring. It reminds me of why I converted out of that boring dead type of Christianity. Like all people just do is stand there and say things and no one moves during the music.

And Thaddeus Stevens wasn't a True Leftist. He belonged to the more progressive (at the time) party. He was more like a 19th century Alan Grayson (without the domestic abuse allegations) so I would've loved him. Henry VIII was very much alive in 1533, but as of Greensleves he is considered by many as it's original composer, though I had to find later lyrics.

Which means that Greensleeves wasn't written in 1533 or by Henry VIII. Attributing it to him would be like attributing an emoviolence song to John Lennon: the musical styles didn't exist in either's respective lifetimes.
