When I was on break, my co-worker thought he could embarrass me by bringing to my desktop one of my supposedly most embarrassing interests. So he changed it to a My Little Pony desktop.

Only for me to come back and point out to him that I ALREADY HAD a My Little Pony desktop. Several in fact, which rotate and change at random every half hour. I changed the formula back to it, and even added the one he added to rotation.

As soon as I announced this, everyone started laughing at him, and someone even pinned an "Epic Fail" image to his computer while he was on break. Awesome.

Defy society's gender roles in even admitting to liking My Little Pony.

Haha no. This type of thing is incredibly common at my workplace. I already have a plan for April Fool's Day to decorate his cubicle with My Little Pony pictures since I'll be in on Monday and he won't be. And that'll be rather mild by April Fool's Day standards.

Because it's the internet. And of course why would a co-worker change the desktop of the person he was pranking to something that person likes, or indeed fail to notice what his desktop was already full of alternating ponies if he was his co-worker? Come on Smiley

My desktop isn't very visible when I'm on break since I leave my job tools and web browser window still open. I'm guessing he figured that it'd still be too embarrassing to publicly display some My Little Pony thing even if you like the show, he was quite wrong.

Why would you leave your computer logged in while on break?

Because it leaves my login tracker open, which shows me how much of the 15 minutes are left. That's why everyone does. Also no one wants to spend any time. Actually you have to stay logged in for a paid break because otherwise you won't get paid, the login/logout reports are how payroll is calculated.

For the record, screensavers are designed to kick in and require your user password to get out of, and they are usually set to kick in after five minutes. This guy no doubt did so before the five minutes. That said there is nothing on my computer that no employee couldn't obtain on their own computer.
