[I spent the winter writing songs about getting better]

every once in a while a movie comes along that both of my divorced parents want to take me to see, individually.  I end up picking one and being the 'bad guy' to somebody; refusing to see it to avoid the criticism; seeing it stealthily, with neither; or seeing it with both, not alerting the second to the fact that I saw it previously.

I take it this is one. So what did you do?

BTW you basically just listed all possible choices there.
