The 1-1-3 plan is just a bad arrangement, and I do think 7 is too many.  2-2-1 seems to be the best choice.
Don't forget the Confederation would have 57 members.

One part of which is having extreme difficulty electing three members.

But the other part: no. So just let people run everywhere Smiley.

I thought you were advocating 2-2-1? 5 At-large seats is systematically different.

Ii was advocating 3-3-1. But people from the Midwest could seek a seat in the Pacific, and vice versa.

"Seeking a seat in the Pacific/Midwest" is an empty phrase if anyone in the Confederation can do it.

I applaud our Governor for his actions to better the situations of those negatively affected by the drought.

Since regions, namely the IDS, have created electoral districts, it has become clear that changing state registration within a region does serve an electoral purpose. As such, we chose to unify the standard.

Why then not adopt this law just in the IDS, and leave the other regions be?

To give the RG less work Smiley

And, of course, members of a state can constitutionally reject a regional change unilaterally. The ability to change states willy-nilly would make that process a complete farce.

I want to officially thank the President for his vote of confidence in me, and I look forward to working with both the administration and the Senate to strengthen the future of Atlasia.

More to come.

Well,
I know I'm technically gone. But, I was really curious, so I logged and then saw it.
Just to see I'm really happy to see Tyrion is succeeding me. I know he will do well as VP.
Best of luck, you're 2 wonderful guys, and I'm sure you will be promising.
WJ

Thanks Windjammer. Your endorsement means a lot.

Congratulations to Tyrion and best of luck!

Thank you Barnes, by the way. Your kind words got lost in the shuffle, but were very meaningful all the same.

I am glad to be on board, Mr. President.

My primary goal as of now is to keep the Senate running smoothly, and serve as a liaison between the executive department and the Senate on internal and foreign policy.
