We're all worth one person, which was the premise of the constitution... the premise that we get the government that we deserve is a virtue of our society.
On the contrary, the Constitution is all about designing a system of checks and balances and adherence to the law to keep us from getting a government as bad as we might if we were ruled by a mere majority or a popularly elected dictator.
Well said and that's why the Electoral College is the best thing to ever happen to our country aside from George W. Bush.
