Can't stop watching all the dance parties from across the U.S.; this one is my favorite:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CHTlMAaAqKY/Even here in Europe people took great joy in Trump's defeat. So many people came up to me in school or messaged me to gloat. And in many cities there were small, public celebrations. In Stockholm, there were cars driving up and down Hornsgatan in Södermalm honking and playing music and cheering last night.
When was the last time there was this much open celebration, not only in the U.S. but around the world? Did people spontaneously drive up and down streets in European cities honking and cheering and playing music when Obama won in 2008? Could you really just open a window in NYC and Chicago and smaller cities and also rural Mexico and hear the whole city just starting cheering? I remember some celebrations in specific places in 2008 but was it this widespread?
