As far as the overall vote in the south? Difficult, because they would have to get good enough margins in VA, NC, GA, FL, and TX to offset everything else, but as a region, it's slowly trending Democratic. That's not to say it will continue to do so.

NC and FL will remain tilted to the right, and GA will remain a tough nut to crack (it isn't going Dem in 2020).

With White liberals' influence in the South growing, there might be significant enough "push" factors to move some Black voters into the GOP over the next few decades.

Laugh all you want. Democrats take the black vote for granted, and it may end up costing them in the future.
