As I recall there were only 3 e-mails that were actually classified and 2 of them shouldn't have been anymore.

Tuned into Fox. They're basically going with he thought he declassified the stuff and if it was such a big deal it would have been retrieved a lot sooner.

It's a good point that if Trump can say he declassified the stuff, Biden can just say he reclassified it. And if there was no good reason for declassifying in the first place, then there is good reason for them to be reclassified.

Trump's initially 'upbeat' mood about the FBI's Mar-a-Lago raid turned dark when GOP support began to wane, report says

Quote
Former President Donald Trump was initially "upbeat" about the FBI raid of his Mar-a-Lago residence, but his mood at times turned dark when GOP support started waning, according to a report.

Sources told The Washington Post that Trump believed the FBI raid would benefit him as it looked like the Justice Department had overreached.

"He feels it's a political coup for him," one friend who had spoken with the former president multiple times told The Post, speaking under the condition of anonymity.

...

While Republicans initially spoke out strongly against the raid, their public support became more muted when records unsealed on Friday revealed that the FBI had seized 11 sets of classified documents from Mar-a-Lago. The Washington Post reported that the bureau searched for classified documents about nuclear weapons.

It's now confirmed: There is collusion between this Investigation and the January 6 Investigation.

I'm not even sure what this means. Are you saying the investigators are sharing information? Because if there's overlap I don't see anything wrong with that.

Unless he's lying I guess so. He's the only one that would know besides DOJ.

The vaccine is a matter of personal choice though. Nothing to do with Trump or “owning the libs.” Myself I am terrified of getting it and dying from a complication. Hell, someone I know went into anaphylactic shock and almost died when they got it, with no history of such an allergic response. My roommate feels ever since she got it, she gets sicker easier and regrets getting it. Neither are Trump supporters or “conspiracy theorists.”

The anaphylactic shock is likely related. The getting sicker and easier is likely mental and almost certainly not related to the vaccine.

Merrick Garland Weighed Search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago for Weeks

Quote
WASHINGTON—Attorney General Merrick Garland deliberated for weeks over whether to approve the application for a warrant to search former President Donald Trump’s Florida home, people familiar with the matter said, a sign of his cautious approach that will be tested over the coming months.

The decision had been the subject of weeks of meetings between senior Justice Department and FBI officials, the people said. The warrant allowed agents last Monday to seize classified information and other presidential material from Mar-a-Lago.

Mr. Garland now faces a more momentous decision that will further sharpen an already unprecedented and politically fraught situation: whether to pursue charges against Mr. Trump or any of his allies over their handling of the records at issue and their interactions with Justice Department officials seeking to retrieve them.

A decision to bring charges in the matter against Mr. Trump or any of his allies would thrust the Justice Department deeper into a political environment in which the former president’s supporters and Republican lawmakers are already accusing Mr. Garland and the department of overreach.

From what they've said there would be so many redactions that it wouldn't convey anything.

He's also getting death threats and his synagogue was getting them too and had to close last weekend. So he may also be trying to placate the crazies by asking the government to produce something even though it will be Swiss cheese. It shouldn't affect his judgment, but he's only human.

Trump aides think a family member informed on him to the FBI because agents knew where to find a specific leather case, report says

Quote
Aides to former President Donald Trump believe that a member of his family may have tipped off the FBI about the presence of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, The Guardian reported.

Multiple sources close to Trump told the publication that after the August 8 search of Trump's resort in Palm Beach, Florida, aides began speculating about who could have been speaking to the agency.

...

Speculation initially focussed on Trump's political aides and resort staff at Mar-a-Lago, the outlet's sources said, before shifting to those closer to Trump.

According to the sources, some aides were convinced that only a family member would have known to point agents to a particular leather-bound box, as well as knowing the location of Trump's safe.

Took them a while but they got there.

He has a credible lawyer now for this type of work so I don't know what's up with that.

It's going to be next year probably before there's any indictment from this, if that happens. The filter team still has the documents so they don't even know what their evidence is yet.

And then they may refrain from it because he's a presidential candidate? And a potentially looming indictment fires up his base and allows him to pose as a victim again? Good lord, just indict him already.

In fact an indictment very well could actually reduce the chances of him running due to the pardon power of a president

What do you mean? That there may be a deal for a pardon if he won't run?

Judge says the redacted version is ok to unseal and should be unsealed by noon tomorrow.
