I should have stated that I don't consider that certain conservative a respectable candidate. His efforts that nearly caused a Civil War is a main reason as to why I'm in this race.

That's why we have preferential voting; you can't spilt the vote.

Do you think your primary victory a bit diminished by the fact you only got 50% of the overall vote (7 of 14) in the party you chair?
Uh, he had several opponents

I think Akno's point was that he felt that, as the chairman of the party, Phil should have gotten more than 50% of the vote.

It does show how disunited the conservatives (small "c") are and it doesn't bode well for conservative candidates.
