Most Christians don't believe in signs. I have no clue if Muslims do or not.

Islam tends to be very fatalistic.

I'm sure that every Muslim that died was planning to take flight lessons.

That is extreme sarcasm; I find even the suggestion, even joking, that God is punishing Muslims with this completely appalling.  The people that died were not being punished by God.  Bad things happen to good people.

I agree, I was just responding to opebo, who said something like "I suppose a Christian could say 'The Christians were spared', and point to the secular nature of the Scandanavian and German tourists who were killed.  A judgement upon the sun worshipers!"

Philip, I was refering to this thread in general, and the comment was not directed at you. 

I did wish to answer your question, however.
