So says Fox's favorite ex-Democratic pollster. The same guy that helped market New Coke.

Pat Caddell is a cringeworthy joke unworthy of consideration.

He is often right.  Let's see, the Carter analogy.  So far it's Caddell, Doud, and J. J.  I wonder when Chris "Captain Malaise" Mathews will weigh in.

I just saw Rasmussen generic congressional ballot.  Not good news for Obama.

Even with an independent thinking cap on, I find myself shaking my head when reading these posts where the Obama supporters are convinced, almost to an arrogance, that no matter how bad unemployment is and no matter who the Republicans nominate, that Obama will win and win big.

When I saw Pat Caddell's comments I realized he said what I was trying to get across. Democrats will lose and potentially lose badly if their strategy is to "demonize" the other side and say, "vote for us, it could be worse." It seems by what they say about Romney and Perry and Bachmann and Paul and Ryan and all of the GOP contenders is that is exactly how they plan on shaping the next election. If that is the case, Grant Park will be pretty depressing come morning November 7th.

Bush '04 was based in large part on demonizing John Kerry. There have been countless successful campaigns based upon demonizing the opponent. The fact that Carter lost does not automatically mean Obama will lose. Your way of thinking about the election is just a simplistic as the way of the supposed Obama supporters on here you are complaining about.

Bush '04 was seen as reflecting on Bush's leadership since 9/11 against terrorism. What are Obama's re-election touting accomplishments?

Actually killing bin Laden?

What did his poll numbers do after that?  (And you might want to look at what I said regarding them.)

How does this mean anything? Rasmussen's generic ballot has remained basically stable since last December, and has barely ever fluctuated past the current numbers' margin of error.

Last Monday, it was R 44% and D 37%.  It had been closer, starting in May, with a downward trend for the GOP.  It this isn't a bad sample, the Republicans are improving, after the debt ceiling vote.

Like I said, not good news for Obama.

Being sarcastic won't help you with the girls.

Being a poor won't either.  That's why no one should support Obama.

As if your money helped you till now.

Speak for yourself, oh, wait, I guess you just did.

Simple fact, for women, you need money.  With Obama, and Obamanomics, no money.  No money, no women.

No wonder he's crying.

Be careful of your boasting because the Professor might be lurking around.

He'll get the same answer.  And I'm not boasting, just telling it like it is.  Smiley

I think most of the people on this board understand something at a very basic level.  If the economy is bad, they cannot enjoy life the way they really want to.  Girls, guys, cars, college, it makes no difference.

If Obamanomics doesn't work, life doesn't work for you.  So far, arguably, for the average person, Obamanomics have not worked.

If you want to remind people how badly they don't work, and the results of their failure, keep up the posts like your last few.  I'll be happy to remind people. Smiley

Very interesting. Please, keep on entertaining us.

I think most people understand that Obamanomics will curtail most entertainment.  Why can't you?

I think you overstate the effect of Obamanomics. Have you taken under consideration the Bradley effect?

No, but you may overestimating your non-monetary appeal.  Considering your avatar, you might have to ask your ex, Turkey, to take you back.

Obama has a strong following of about 40+ percent who WILL vote for hime no matter what.

The Strongly Approve is now 21%

Incumbency is what they said about Carter and GHWB.  The question asked by two of the three last two termers was, "Are you better off than your were four years ago."

Obamacare had some effects on Medicare.  Obama is below 50% with Hispanics.  Maxine Waters is shooting off her mouth this week.  (Obama, I do feel your pain there.)

I remember when everybody said Reagan was too right wing, even a running joke on All in the Family.

Welcome to 1979.

Tsk, tsk. That's no way for a MENSA member to debate.

Sometimes I do have to use simple analogies so some people can understand them.

You options are limited.  Time to consider making nice-nice with your ex across the Dardanelles.  That is the cost of not having enough money, you can't life the way you'd want.  You have to, as they say in my neighborhood, "settle."  Individual or national, that is the price you pay.

None of the gop candidates are close to being as likeable/exciting as Reagan, and Obama isn't as bad as Carter. Obama can lose, but this is not 1980.

"Jimmy Carter is a nice guy, but he's inept."  That was actually a line of dialogue from a 1980 SNL sketch.  A lot of people liked Carter, on a personal level, but that didn't stop them from kicking out of office.

(It wasn't until after he was tossed that his more prickly side came out.)
