I already did this on my campaign thread, but you have my very enthusiastic endorsement.

So why do you seek to disarm law enforcement? Both citizen and law enforcement need to have this important right to protect this country against the forces who would seek to destroy our republic from all enemies foreign and domestic.

As it stands the right to bear arms for the average Atlasian is restricted based upon a number of criteria, which renders law enforcement, specifically the police, with a near monopoly on force in Atlasia. My proposal will remedy that inequality and allow the average Atlasian to be on a more equal footing with the police when it comes to the issue of firearms ownership and use.
Who knew there's an issue where TNF is to the right of JCL. I think I'm some kind of paradox bizzaro world.

What a great way to win over the support of your constituents...Roll Eyes

>implying you were going to vote for me anyway
Before you starting going on this Federalist everyone but Labor rampage a couple weeks ago, yes, I'm fairly certain I would have voted to re-elect you.

Would you be open to working with fellow leftists elected to the senate outside of the Labor Party?

Assuming there were no Labor candidates contesting the race in question, of course.
Then you have my endorsement. Smiley

I am honored to be known as a "high-profile moderate hero." Tongue

FTR, you've skipped over the four amendments Lumine made to the regional constitution: the New Capitol Amendment, the New Governor Amendment, the Changing the Depositaren Amendment, and the Electoral Efficiency Amendment, in addition to the Midwest Speed Limits Act. Lumine doesn't even have an obligation as a regional executive to introduce bills, yet he has.

Gotta love how my opponents biggest defenders are from outside the region.
Gotta love how you use that as your excuse not to answer us and also that you mention me in your speech and then criticize me for answering. Wink

'tl;dr Lumine?' You can't be serious! Remember this?

Xahar prevented passage of the women's rights amendment and the abolition of conscription amendment, two landmark leftist pieces of legislation sponsored by the two of you. Yet you hold him up to the highest esteem and defend him as if he's been a glorious senator. Remember when Light and CU merged and you claimed we "weren't leftist enough" and that you were the true leftist party and that we're just a bunch of whiny moderate heroes? Now is when the hypocrisy of those statements is at its greatest. Find one inactive Progressive officeholder whose screwed up the passing of liberal legislation. (And don't even try Napoleon; he carpetbagged to our party after originally being a laborite.) The point is, you can't. You take two virtually identical senators, and you praise one and criticize the other. And for what reason? Because one apparently sides with you, trolls the Pacific, and operates under your little puppet party of NMAM, and that somehow makes this all okay. That makes missing 70% of the votes acceptable, in your world. You've always bragged that you have the highest levels of activity in the senate, (this is directed at TNF) but it makes no difference when you support inactive candidates. Especially when the senators you support miss votes; when they do that, they might as well vote no. And if they did vote no for every time they didn't vote, you'd call them reactionaries, fascists, members of the rich man's party. But all because Xahar is within a certain clique and he carries a red avatar, all of these things that he has done are excusable.

Merry Christmas btw

tl;dr

You think the fact that my response is long winded gives you the excuse not to answer, yet you have the audacity to call your opponent 'tl;dr Lumine?'

Senator TNF: A consistent voice for "liberty," but inconsistent in answering simple questions.

Controversial legislation is a problem by itself

Why? If everyone has to agree with your legislation before you even propose it, what's the point of having a deliberative body?

Sorry, my bad, it was supposed to read: "Controversial legislation is not necessarily a problem by itself, but it is a problem when you are not willing to work with the rest of the Senate". But the point remains that some bills are just way too controversial to be considered serious. Just look at the widespread reaction to the Labor bill to change the names of several airports or the TNF Rational Education Act, or the backlash at the abortion bills in the Mideast. Is not only the (sometimes) bills that go too far, but many times has TNF rejected any possible compromise, thus destroying any chance of those bills to actually pass the Senate. Besides, most of the time the defense of his legislation is based on personal attacks, thus making the whole thing even more pointless.

I apologize, but that's just inaccurate. If nothing else, TNF is perfectly willing to compromise on his legislation, and almost never objects to watering down his own legislation, which I personally have been known to do from time to time.
He compromises only when he knows the bill will fail, while simultaneously calling the opponents of the bill fascists, and contributes very little to discussion of bills other than his own.

Not sure what simple question I'm avoiding answering here that isn't an inane or ridiculous set up by you or the "Progressive" Union.
I was referring to the question asked by RG Fritz, a Laborite.

I was empty quoting Sirnick, another laborite. Other members of said quote pyramid were Mr. X (Laborite) and Snowstalker. (Laborite)

I have a family member who is mentally-handicapped and has struggled his entire life with individuals making fun of him for it. There is nothing amusing to me about people saying "retarded" in a derogatory way, and I frankly have no respect for anyone who uses such offensive language (not that you care about having my respect).

If you are going to start making such offensive statements, maybe you are taking this game just a bit too seriously, Senator.

There's nothing amusing to me about insincere trolling on your part and taking advantage of politically correct bulls**t to your own ends. If that's not the case, where were you condemning Napoleon?

Social conservatism/authoritarianism/prudish

My biggest pet peeve right now though is the completely retarded notion that someone "should" vote Democratic because they are lower income (or vice-versa, though since it is usually lefties saying this type of junk, it doesn't bother me as much). Anyone who says something like this demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of both politics and economics, and shows little capacity for intellectual thought.

You spend too much time in Bushie's thread. Not everything you read on this site is retarded as .

And with Oakland having a retard for a head coach, NClib is now the only 6-0 player in this game.

I think banning Krazen and reinstating jmfcst would be a fair trade for all parties.

Yeah I don't think anyone would be opposed to this.

I'm opposed.

Px75 is as bad as Krazen actually he is far more personally insulting. Bandit is just a retard.

Why is it that the Federalists consistently have nothing to peddle other than garbage about "tone" while simultaneously engaging in personal attacks that you regularly condemn me for engaging in. (Let us not forget the "esteemed" PiT comparing Xahar to Osama bin Laden, for example)
None of these are even in the Fantasy Elections board.

So you were lying when you said this and this?

Nay

This is an illegal, bulls**t witch-hunt of a vote. The fact that you all are ready and willing to expel Xahar but weren't about to expel a much worse Senator (Napoleon) accurately explains the pathetic approvals this Senate gains in the opinion polling.
This is the closest to a complete response I can find, and when anyone responds to it, you answer with tl;dr.

You gotta love that in your world, when the Progressive Union and moderate Laborites agree on something you don't agree with, you instantly blame it on PRO and pretend that moderate Laborites don't exist. Roll Eyes
