In one year, what will have happened in regards to the Supreme Court?  Will Roe v Wade be overturned?  What big decisions will have been made?  Will Trump even be able to get his nominee through?

I actually don't see Roe v Wade ever being overturned. It's an issue the justices typically don't like to touch on.

I agree with your sentiment. Roe v Wade is an issue that the SC just doesnt have the gall to touch. The SC has been Conservative for a long time, TBH its a little ridiculous that we had to rely on a Reaganite as a swing vote. What's likely to happen is the status quo, considering Kennedy has been a reliable conservative vote for all but like, two things. A bigger concern, for me at least, would have been if a liberal judge was retiring, then that would be a panic. But this just reinforces the conservative majority, and there are ways to crack it.

While Kennedy leaned to the right, the new Justice will almost certainly lean further to the right.  This new, more conservative Supreme Court could feel emboldened to take on issues like Roe v Wade.  I don't know if it will actually happen, but it is a possibility.  I think them taking on something like Obergefell is far less likely, but I guess that's a possibility as well.  I agree that if one of the liberal ones left the court for whatever reason, we'd have far greater certainty of extreme change ocurring.

Which they will send it back to the states to regulate, and most states would ban it after 20 weeks, giving the right to an abortion for a fetus.

The more conservative states are definitely going to go for a full on ban.

Trump's appointees will not be typical.

I think this is a good point.  A lot of posters are saying that the court won't touch Roe because it'd be too divisive, but honestly I'm not sure the conservative justices care about that.  While ultimately restrictions on abortion and not a full overturn are likely, I'd bet on abortion laws changing somewhat.
