Molson is much better than Fosters.
Molson was a company, not a beer.  They make many beers.  Molson Canadian is piss water.  I've not tried Foster.  The best Molson beer by far is Rickard's Red.

The problem with "Canadian Patriotism"  and the Candian sense of national identity is that it can only be defined as being one thing... "not American".  That comes through in this ad where pretty much every line is a stab against Americans.  Without the US, Canada would have absolutly nothing to hold it together, but then again, if Canada was beside any country other than the US, it woul dhave been conquered a dozen times over by now.

Can anyone here acctually tell me what it means to be Canadian, as opposed to being "not American"?

P.S.  This is all very interesting coming from a company that I am certain does far more business in the US than in Canada.  Here in Erie, they have a billboard saying "Molson: Saluting Erie, a great American baseball town.  How ironic, eh?

P.P.S  Good thing we are here to seperate you guys from Mexico, or you guys would all have been speaking Spanish 100 years ago.
Please, Canadians at this point is identical to Americans with an inferiority complex.  There is simply nothing that Canada has to be pround of.  There is nothing that distinguishes us from say, the rest of the world except that we constantly like to remind everyone that we are "not American."  We don't define ourselves by stating what we are, we define ourselves by stating what we're not.  And instead of boldly stating that we're not say, British [we have a Queen, afterall], it has to be American, precisely because the rest of the world always confuses us (and rightly so) with Americans.

For most part, Canadians are Americans, except we have an inferiority complex, cannot define ourselves, have a country that is going down the toilet, take a backseat to everything, think hockey is the most important thing in the world (nevermind that we've not won the Stanley Cup in more than a decade), and have a very narrow-minded view of what life is like and what is going in the world.

I would not recommend becoming Canadian, unless you go back to 1945 when Canada actually had something to be proud of.

Canadians with ambition are called Americans.

Americans that are cowards (draft dodgers) and lazy (liberals) are called Canadians.

Canadians wouldn't hate Americans so much if people like Supersoulty and Richius didn't say the things they did.
Canadians, in general, are very jealous of Americans and all their success. The problem comes with us wanting to be as successful.  It is exactly the same problem as Europe is having.  In order to be so successful as the United States, you have to adopt capitalism like the United States.  But then, how are we different from them?  We're not.

In order to maintain the illusion that we're unique (like everyone else), we refuse to go the way that was proved to be succesful.  And that will be our downfall.

Had.  Not have.  Had.  In 1945.  I am sick and tired of reading about that damn space arm.  Yes, we built it.  But SO WHAT?  In 2050, the government is still going to remind us that we built the space arm.

Canada is so unimportant these days it may as well drop off the world and no one would notice.  We don't even have an army to do what we supposedly do best: peacekeeping.  What has Canada done for the world recently?  Anything?  Anything at all?  Please.  All the Canadians with the potential of becoming great end up as Americans.  Like me.  I'm not staying here because I'm not wanted.

Moron-boy upstairs in Ottawa is proof of that.

What is Canada anyways?  Toronto?  Because that is pretty much Canada.  The rest is a barren wasteland.  The only other city of marginal importance to the country is Montreal because that is where derivatives are traded.

If that is true, then it is totally worth it.
I always knew you wanted Canada to go down the toilet, and here you just said it is worth it getting worse.

Are you trying to bring up the past?
You're bashing Canada, and you were also Bashing Mexico... hmm I think, you believe that 2 opposites beget evil
Oh please.  I bash with good reason.  Mexico has even less to be proud of.  At least Canada has a reasonable standard of living.

I have to disagree with Richius here.  Standard of living should not be any measure of pride.
Hence my previous statements that Canada doesn't have anything to be proud of either...
