I have - thankfully - never been assaulted or harassed beyond the discomfort of undesired flirting from men who may have mistakenly thought I was gay.

I will say, though, how eye opening #MeToo has been. The stories women have shared, including women I know, have really helped bring clarity to me on how bad this problem is. This was an issue I understood mostly in the abstract before... now it’s not abstract anymore.
