Why is the Wiregrass so much more conservative than other parts of the rural areas of the state?

Richard Lindsey, Jim Folsom Jr., Artur Davis, Walter Maddox, Craig Ford, and Bobby Bright are the other strong candidates she probably just cleared from the field. Honestly, in my opinion, Lindsey and Folsom are the strongest potential nominees.

Imagine if Folsom had won his 1980 Senate race. He probably could have hung on until 2010.

Nothing beats the insane, colorful sleaziness of Louisiana, but man, Alabama politics is wild. That Tim James ad is a classic. I remember all the parody videos of it that popped up that summer

Walt Maddox is in. There is actually going to be a competitive Democratic gubernatorial primary in Alabama.

Are they seeing a close race? I don't get why the few people on Alabama's dem bench are getting in.

Gov is easier than Senate I'd think
