Probably necessary in states with high COVID case numbers such as New Jersey, Alaska, Illinois, Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and New York.
Illinois' hospitalizations have been on a near-uninterrupted decline for over a month, and about 55% of residents are fully vaccinated ... sorry, but that's really all that should be looked at.
(Not to mention any "statewide" metric that affects every corner of IL should hardly ever be considered a serious proposal ... even the Governor's "Regions" thing isn't tailored enough.)
Yep, and we actually have one of the lowest case rates in the country at the moment. Not sure how we got lumped into this.
