If I had been living at the time, not looking back in retrospective, I would have voted:

1960: Kennedy/Lodge (I would've have thought LBJ to be a Dixiecrat)
1964: Johnson/Humphrey
1968: Humphrey/Muskie
1972: McGovern/Shriver (I'm not sure about this one)
1976: Carter/Mondale
1980: Anderson/Mondale
1984: Mondale/Bush (I don't think Ferraro was experienced enough)
1988: Dukakis/Bentsen
1992: Clinton/Gore
1996: Clinton/Gore
2000: Gore/Lieberman
2004: Kerry/Edwards
