Aside from civil rights, he wasn't.  In 1968, he was essentially the candidate of the drug-smoking hippie potheads and anti-war protesters (as was McGovern in 1972.)  Say what you will about Nixon, but we were a lot better off with him than we would've been with Humphrey, Wallace, or McGovern.

Uh, no.  He doesn't have a country to lead. 

Thank God. The Communist takeover of Tibet was the best thing that ever happened to them.

Pre-1950 Tibet was not great, but there was no justification for the brutal Maoist tyranny or the attempted annihilation of Tibetan culture.

I'm sure there fine, as long as they don't try and pretend that they're teachers because they want to help children, rather than the truth in the vast majority of cases which is that they have become a teacher because it enables them to eat (which, btw, is no different to the vast majority of people who are in employment), or it was the easiest job that they could get into for the best salary.
