Reckless stupid and obviously mentally unbalanced.  There is a right way to do things and a wrong way.  These clowns chose the wrong way.

lol, neither of them have done anything heroic, you silly paranoid fanboys. Both deserve to be in jail and both give real whistle blowers who actually care about government accountability a bad name.

Fine talk coming from partisan hacks who insult the name of the Left Wing every time they open their mouths. Manning and Snowden have contributed more to the cause against fascism than any blind D-voting sheep ever has.

Also, hi guys.

WTF?!  Why are you making this personal... and a complete lie.

Because I haven't been able to stand either of you since the day I set foot in this forum. If there's one thing I can stomach less than the parties in America, it's their self-righteous toadies - in particularly the "progressives" who worship and whitewash the Democratic Party while completely neglecting to fight for anything meaningfully left-wing.

Bradly manning had all kinds of personal and social problems.  That kid was not mentally okay.  Plus all the so called Pentagon Paper analogists need to remember the Pentagon papers were handed over to the NY Times.  They were not handed over to some crazy white haired guy who commits rape in Sweden.  C'mon who can't get laid in Sweden?!

Seriously some of the stuff contained in the Manning dump needed to be exposed.  The vast majority of it did not.  The guy is reckless, irresponsible, and stupid.

So, you think it was better that the public never know about the government trying to spy on everything they do? And furthermore, do you honestly think Manning's issues at all excuse the blood-chilling way he's been treated by the feds for the past two years?

My old positions on this were immature and a byproduct of spending too much time on reddit. Though at least Assange has the dashing, roguish international playboy thing going for him, as opposed to these two weirdos.

You're more willing to defend the psychotic rapist than you are Manning and Snowden

Maybe I recognize that there's a lot of gray area between North Korean police state and lawless maximum freedom anarchy, that the government needs to constantly balance privacy and security, and finally that the government knowing you called your friend is not really a big deal and doesn't really infringe on anyone's liberty/privacy.

But no, the correct answer must be that I just love sucking Obama's cock.

Admittance of a vice is the first step toward recovery. Maybe you'll be a true leftist yet.

Again,  whether or not PRISM is a good program is beside the point. Maybe it is appropriate.   But America deserves to know if it exists, and thanks to Snowden, we do.

Why don't we just tell "America" the nuclear launch codes while we are at it.  "America" as you put it has an opinion on Benghazi and a large chunk of them can't find it on a map.  This outing will not end PRISM.  The only thing it has done is leaked even more information to terrorists.  Good job "heroes."  Time to stop playing games with our safety.

The people still deserve to know. The government still needs to be held accountable, no matter the administration in charge - and oh, I just bet the "leftists" on this site would be calling for public beheadings(and rightly so) if it were a Republican president administering this.

Stop giving my ideology a bad name.
