I really hope he follows through. He's been slow on ending the War on Drugs, but I think that this sort of cautious, deliberate action will be much more effective for lasting change.

At what age do you recommend children start doing drugs?

The last two Presidents and the current President did drugs. They all turned out ok.

At the White House Press Briefing Carney just kept referring everyone back to the DoJ.  So it won't go down as Obama's idea, but Holder's.

So do you see this as Obama trying to distance himself from it, trying to have his cake and eat it too? Technically, refusing to defend DOMA was Holder's idea as well and Obama went along it. Obama probably does not want to go all in with this just yet, in case it doesn't work out well, but I don't see that as being negative. If he overplays his hand he could damage the cause to end the War on Drugs for another generation.
