I really think Rubio is serious about being done. Maybe 12-16 years down the road I could see it happening, but not 4 years after getting embarrassed like this.
The two guys who have a base that they are the natural leader of and should keep coming back are Rand and Cruz. If Trumpism fails, the anti-establishment movement won't die, but maybe (actually for once finally...) wise up and have a Bernie-style movement. I think that is where Rand steps in.
