DKrol Makes Final Campaign Push

Northeast Assembly Speaker DKrol greets supporters at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown, New Hampshire

"Thank you for great welcome.

I am here today, at Saint Anselm College, as the final leg of my campaign for a full term as Northeast Representative. I chose this place, this college, this state because of the deep political roots that there are. I feel any campaign that avoids Saint A's and New Hampshire is one that doesn't truly understand how to campaign.

For the last few weeks, I have had the honor of serving in the Northeast Assembly thanks to Governor Sawx. I have to thank Governor Sawx for reviving my career in Atlasian politics, without him I would not be standing before you today. I also need to thank my fellow Representatives, for entrusting me with the Speakership of the Assembly. I am more than grateful for the duties and trust Governor Sawx and the Assembly have given me.

I'm running for a full term to the Assembly for a simple reason. To make life better for the people of the Northeast. I took office in the Assembly on March 31st. I was sworn in as Speaker shortly thereafter. In that period of time - only 17 days - the Assembly has accomplished so much. We've passed education reform, infrastructure reform, and we're about to pass tax reform. We've expanded benefits for our pensioners and we're about to increase support for the arts in schools. We've supported energy reform, and we're going to pass a budget with a $9.6 billion surplus. The Assembly has done so much in such a short period of time and I'm very proud of what we've been able to accomplish. But there's more to be done.

In a full term, I will pursue several policies. The first will be making the Northeast a Right-to-Work region, where workers will have the choice to join a union or not. The second will be cut taxes on small business, which are the backbone to any economy. The third is an idea proposed by Altsomn Stmarken in his platform: Establish regional trade fairs for small businesses to get together, trade ideas, and display their goods. These will be my main three iniaitives that I will pursue in a full term.

Several people have raised the question over whether or not I will seek another term a Speaker. I can now say without a doubt that I will be asking my fellow Representatives, whomever they may be after the election, to grant me the gift of another term as Speaker, if the people of the Northeast should bless me with the gift of another term.

I believe that the assembly has done a lot of good work but I know there's more that we can do! That's why I'm running in this race, and I hope I can have your support!

Thank you!"

"I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all to head out and vote at some point this weekend. A campaign means nothing if it cannot turn out the vote. I hope that you will will give me your first preference when you're in the ballot box and deciding."

DKrol Victorious

Northeast Assembly Speaker DKrol arrives at a radio station in Burlington, Vermont. He gave a speech at the University of Vermont.

"Thank you!

We did it! Early on, it looked pretty shaky. I'll be honest with you guys, I didn't know if I was going to come out victorious. But we did it, and we came in second in the preference overall! I think that's a great result for my first election as an actual candidate, rather than a write-in. I would not be standing here with a large electoral mandate if it wasn't for you!

In this new Assembly, I'll be joined by Altsomn Josef Stmarken, Clyde1998, Dr. Cynic, and Lt. Governor Pikachu - a great ground of men. I'm especially going to look forward to working with Altsomn and Dr. Cynic, who will be new faces to my tenure in the Assembly. We are going to make this new Assembly session one of growth and success.

Now it is time to get to work. Already, Governor Sawx has written a bill to hone our recently passed education policy. In the coming days, I plan to introduce several bills ranging from defining our regional identity, to ensuring our region remains a leader in economics and job creation, to helping inter-regional co-operation. I look forward to working with my fellow Representatives in continuing the Northeast's success!

At this time, I am going to announce my intention to seek a second term as Speaker of the Assembly!

Thank you and Dave Bless!"

Hello.

I am here today to make a statement, regarding the elections in June. I will not be standing for another term to the Northeast Assembly. As for seeking election to another position, I am undecided at this point.

Thank you.

Northeast Speaker DKrol (CR-MA) prepares to take the podium at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts

"Hello.

A few days ago, I told you all I would not be seeking another term in the Northeast Assembly. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Assembly and my tenure as Speaker but I feel that there is a new wave of young leaders in the Northeast that are coming up and will serve the Assembly well. I believe that I have done the best I can do to make our region the past it can on the regional level.

But I am not done fighting. I realized that the true fight for regionalism and success is had in the federal level, in Nyman. The regions cannot empower themselves - they must have an ally in the Senate to help them out, who believes in their cause. The people need an advocate in the Senate, who knows the struggles of the common man. The small businesses of the Northeast require a champion in the Senate, who has their best interests in mind.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here today to announce my candidacy for the Northeast Senate seat, currently held by Senator Tallyrand!

Thank you and Dave Bless!"

After your instrumental treatment of my party, I'd vote for Rob Stark over you.

Thank you!

Endorsed!

Thanks for not forcing me to make another quixotic run at the Northeast Senate seat by entering the race.

Thank you! Happy to present new faces on the ballot!

Statement Regarding Campaign

It has come to my attention that there is a far greater need for me on the ballot nationally, than in the Northeast Senate race. As such, I have formally withdrawn from that race - I wish Senator Talleyrand the best - and will be running for President of Atlasia against President Bore.

I know this will be a hard fight, I know the odds aren't in my favor, but I believe I can do this. In the last Northeast Assembly election, I came in second overall. I also received the unanimous support from all parties in my two bids for Speaker. If I can pull of victories like that in the Northeast, a region dominated by TPP and Labor, I am very confident in my abilities to run a national campaign and put up a good fighting chance. My numbers in the poll from the Political Tracker only adds to this confidence.

I hope to be joined on the campaign trail shortly by my running mate, who is the in final stages of discernment.

Thank you.

I'd like to deliver the following statement, with respect to the campaign and the issues that have arisen with respect to my running mate:

First, let me once more congratulate President Bore and Vice President Nix - you have done a great job in office so far and I wish you only the best in the next four months.

Second, let me congratulate BaconBacon and Flo for running such strong, last minute campaigns. You both created twists and turns within the race that I had not expected.

Third, let me state that I had no knowledge of the Twistory/JoMCaR/Meat-Puppet issue. I was told by a concerned Atlasian that there may have been someone up with my running mate and I began the process of looking into it. I did not complete my personal investigation before Mod Action was taken. He, my running mate, never spoke with me about inviting others to join and vote for us, or inviting others to run for office, at any point.

Fourth, let me say this - I take the blame for what happened with my running mate. I catapulted him onto the national stage with a very minimal vetting process. I should have looked into him more deeply, spoken to others about him, and taken more time to vet him before selecting him as my running mate. I did not, and I fully accept the blame for causing his Meat-Puppetry by thrusting him into such a position where he felt that these actions were necessary.

Dude, none of this is your fault at all. Me inviting my friends was never about winning the White House or anything, they just wanted to come here and play with us. And yes, you didn't know about it. I'm sad that you have now such a bad impression of me, but more importantly, I think you shouldn't be so hard on yourself on this.

This was about you attempting to gain votes - with which I am associated because we ran together.

It appears that my sabbatical has come to an early end. President Bore has nominated me to serve the next Game Moderator, fulfilling the vacancy created by now-Senator Kal. It is a bit ironic. But that is a different discussion.

I look forward to the Senate hearing into my nomination and I am confident that I will be confirmed to the post. I can't wait to begin serving in the office.

I will be accepting write in votes for the At-Large Senate. This is the seat that I cut my teeth in Atlasian politics with and I hope that the third time will be the charm.

Thank you, and Dave Bless.

Hello, friends.

Over the summer, I announced I would be taking a sabbatical to learn and reflect. That sabbatical was delayed by my appointment as Game Moderator and my tenure in that office. However, I have decided that now is the time to return to Atlasian politics.

My good friend Blair, one of the first people I ever cast an Atlasian ballot for, has appointed me as the Secretary of the Treasury of the Northeast. I am deeply humbled to be offered such a post after a nearly three month long absence from Atlasia. Through this office I will be able to advocated and implement the policies that our region needs to thrive. I have accepted the appointment and now I look forward to the Assembly's confirmation process.

Thank you,

I'd like to formally thank the Northeast Assembly for confirming my nomination as the Secretary of the Treasury of our great region. My goal is to work with Governor Blair to create a budget that is pro-jobs and pro-growth, as well as turning the Northeast into the economic powerhouse that it should be.

It is with great joy that I can accept Governor Blair's appointment to the Assembly. The Assembly is where I started off my career and I'm glad to return to it. I will be running for a third (non-consecutive) term in the Assembly in the upcoming election.
