As usual, I started this project enthusiastic, but then I took forever and got sick of it. I could probably continue to adjust things to make them more sensible, but instead I'll just upload what I have and call it a day.
Anyhow, here's my map of 50 "compact" states.
I didn't shoot for population equality--in fact, the NYC district probably has 15 times the population of the Maine district--but at least my end-product had some out-of-the-box results I wouldn't have expected at the start.
