I find odd the assumption that people are being ignored because of where they sit on the ideological spectrum. I have people on ignore because they're annoying.
I have 22 people on ignore: - 5 Democrats - 1 Green - 5 Independents - 2 Others - 4 Republicans plus 5 whose party designation I couldn't find. If there's an ideological bias there, it isn't extremely obvious to me.
I've been a member for about 3 years, and I started this year without anyone on ignore. In fact, until this year, I had only ever had 2 people on ignore. But this year, I feel like I've been inundated by hacks who can't shut up about how their beloved candidate will crush all opposition without breaking a sweat.
Once the election has passed, I plan on taking everyone off ignore again. In the meantime, I'll pick and choose whose posts I want to see. (Context matters, of course. I'm far more likely to show posts on the Off-Topic board than I am on the 2016 board.)
