I thought the EU election results are mostly inline with polling over the last few months.  So these results are not a surprise.  I assume Tsipras is calling elections early since these results confirms those polls that put ND well ahead ?

Looks like given were ND is polling they are on the threshold of getting a majority on their own.  But if they do not who is their most likely post-election ally ? EL?

Instead of North Macedonia why not Slavic Macedonia.  That makes it clear the people and language have nothing to do with the ancient Macedonians

How is turnout faring? On a Greek newspaper, Ethnos, they say turnout could be up 18% compared with the EP elections.

Wow.  But EP election turnout was 58.71%.  A 18% turnout increase would put turnout to pre-financial crisis turnout levels.

I think XA and EL should end up above the threshold.  XA because they always are under-polled and EL is a new party and most likely under-polled.
