Actually I think this might be a good time to buy MXN.  This news means the election will be close but it seems unlikely to me that Clinton will lose as a result.

They are under by 0.5% from yesterday's close.
That is nothing. Normal trade.

You have to look at it from the price right now versus the price of, say S&P 500, right before the news came out.  Using that as the standard it is down 0.75% or so.

The MXN drop of 2% especially dramatic especially the US dollar index itself fell 0.4% on this news.

BTW, the Biotech ETF XBI surged 1% on the news.  Biotech has been the proxy for Trump for a while as a Clinton presidency is seen as negative for the Biotech industry.

Mexican peso recovered somewhat but not completely.   A USD index adjusted value of MXN fell 2.5% since the story broke.  It is now down 1.6% from when the story broke.

There does seems to be signs that the market is getting warmer to the fact that while Clinton will take some losses from this affair it will not likely lead to her losing the election.  The USD index weight value of Mexican Peso (MXN) was down 1.7% at the end of trading on Friday relative to where it was when the news broke.  When the currencies market opened last night it was down 2.0% relative to when the news broke.  Now were had a few polls out showing the race tightening but not a collapse of Clinton support it is down 1.2% relative to when the story broke.
