DeSoto County came in with a bunch of votes which closed the gap.  Now really depends on Hinds and Jones now.

I do not see how McDaniel wins.  Jones I think is likely to give him another net 2500 votes but he is behind by more than 4000 and there is still more of Hinds to come.

Not so fast.  There's still quite a bit of outstanding vote from Desoto County that seems to favor McDaniel.

The gap is now 4000 .. Desoto might add about 1000 to McDaniel's margin so it is not enough.

Looks like Rangel is likely to win. He is lucky because Walrond did take a bunch of votes away from Rangel but it seems not enough to get take away a Rangel win.

Espaillat's only hope is somehow Hamilton Heights votes much more in his favor than other Hispanic-Black mixed neighborhoods that reported so far.

Watching the video of McDaniel's speech does give me a sense of affinity toward him.  I realized that he and I are born in the same year and we both seem to have a son about the same age.
