Begich doesn't want to run for office though. It's not as if Sullivan is some Joe Miller type either.

There's been strong rumors of Begich running for Governor in 2018 should Walker decline. And while Sullivan isn't a walking disaster, I'd put a Begich vs. Sullivan race as a Toss-Up, Lean R at worst.

If Murkowski loses the primary, does she run another write-in? I think if she was forced to do that, she'd officially run as an Independent just so she doesn't have to go throw with this process again.

She'd almost certainly caucus with R's, but I could see her taking the Angus King reasoning of "I can best serve Alaska by being in the majority party"
