Seems a little quick on the part of Cook.

Cook has the dumbest Senate rankings out of the Big 3.

He has Iowa as a Toss-Up, and Minnesota and Michigan in the same ranking as Arkansas, Louisiana, and Alaska.

Don't even get me started on how he treats Hawaii like a swing state in every election.

Fancy Farm was today, here's the rundown.

-Grimes was excellent, and had decent Dem turnout to help her out.
-Matt Bevin was surprisingly good.
-McConnell was definitely mediocre, and he apparently left immediately after he was done speaking. Bevin made fun of him for leaving in his speach.

Grimes also sat down for her first real interview.

Grimes also stated she was firmly pro-choice, and would would work to delay the ACA's requirement that small businesses must provide coverage to their employees.

The KY GOP is trying to claim that Grimes' goal was to raise $7 Million and that she failed spectacularly, a claim there is no evidence of.

Top 3 Fundraisers in Q3:

Alison Lundergan Grimes (D-KY) - $2,527,000
Mitch McConnell (R-KY) - $2,269,000
Al Franken (D-MN) - $2,083,000

That's some impressive numbers for Grimes, especially if you look at the burn rate.

Of Grimes' $2,527,000, she has spent $536K. Of McConnell's $2,269,000, his campaign has spent $2,082,000. If that continues for the next 1-2 quarters, Grimes will likely have more Cash on Hand by the time the election rolls around, erasing McConnell's money advantage.

McConnell's main strategy is going to be tying Grimes to Senate Democrats:

Really? He could tie her to Reid or Schumer or Sanders, but Landrieu?

Might as well say: "IF MY OPPONENT IS ELECTED SHE'LL BE ANOTHER JOE MANCHIN"

She's a female Senator that can attract fundraisers and support without giving the Republicans much attack fodder. Pretty good choice.

Bevin raised $1.1 million (no word on self-funding), McConnell 2.4. No word from Grimes.

Grimes raised 2.7 Million, and has 5 Million CoH

Wow.

So I guess he didn't have to get a regular job first before he became Jefferson County Judge-Exec.

IIRC, he was in the National Guard (Or Reserves, don't remember which) before being discharged for not meeting physical criteria.

Grimes calls on Shinseki to resign over VA scandal. What's notable is that McConnell hasn't done the same yet, meaning Grimes is getting in front of him on the issue.

McConnell claims that Kynect, Kentucky's successful healthcare exchange, is "unrelated" to the ACA and would not be affected by an ACA repeal.

Which is a flat out lie, one that the media and Grimes have been hammering him on.
