One on hand, she supports gay marriage and would be the 4th Senate Republican to do so.

On the other hand, she'd probably run on the promise of bombing Iran.

Why would Enzi need to be primaried?  He's been loyal enough to his party, hasn't he?

Enzi's compromised enough times for him to be vulnerable in a primary.

Very little if I remember correctly.

I remember reading that one of the big reasons Freudenthal was elected was because Cheney campaigned hard for his opponent to the point where everyone who hated Cheney voted Democrat.

I thought Enzi Schatz had a pretty solid voting record. I'm not sure exactly of her motivations for primary EnziSchatz, other than the fact she wants his seat.

There's no way they can. Even if Liz Cheney somehow wins the primary, she'll still win easily against any democratic candidate.

Actually, Freudenthal would definitely beat Cheney, but there's no way he runs and there's no way she wins the primary so it's not even relevant.
I'm not sure about that. Linda Lingle was demolished last year in Hawaii even after holding on through the 2006 wave.

The difference is that Hawaiians LIKE Mazie Hirono, while most Wyomingite's aren't huge fans of any Cheney at this point. Freudenthal himself was elected partially as a "screw you" to Dick Cheney.

Huckabbe endorsed Enzi.

I guess this plus those anti-gay ads pretty much erodes any support Cheney had with social conservatives.

Yeah but it's not like SoCons are a huge factor in Wyoming, except some of the more hardcore Mormons.

Even if this was an open seat, Lummis would hand Cheney her ass.
