41/53 Democrats in the Senate now support gay marriage. The bulk that haven't made the announcement are from swing/Republican states, although there are some odd hold-outs (Tom Carper for one).

Carper is definitely on the list of Democrats who should be primaried.

Beau Biden?
Carper was just re-elected and isn't up for re-election til 2018. Seems more likely Beau Biden runs for Governor in 2016.

Don't want to give President Obama too much, but he does score points for coming out in favor of marriage equality prior to the 2012 election. And yes I believe this was all planned to happen before the election, even if Biden made it happen sooner than later. I feel it very important for him to do it BEFORE his last election ever.
