Excuse the delay - never got the estimates I needed for the new materials (FCF/DRF funds) so I had to calculate them on my own last night.

Not much changes here - just adding the necessary funds and taking away the already-repealed Northeast Healthy Skin Act's provision here. I think we all can agree that this is a reasonable budget for the session.

I appreciate that you took the initiative of doing this sawx, but perhaps it'd be advisable to get a definite revenue projection from the GM?

Also budgets last for four months, I believe.

Alright, reverse order:

1. Article 3, Section 10 of the Northeast Constitution states that "the Governor is obligated to present the Legislative Assembly a budget for their term." Since I'm not a part of the Assembly or a I'm interpreting this as a two-month plan.

2. I tried to get an estimate from Dr. Cynic, and he referred me to Flo. Flo said he needed a bit of help getting this estimate done about a week ago, and since it still wasn't done and our government is very close to shutting down, I decided to create my own estimates.

It's 4 months (the length of your term). Go back and look and see how every other Governor has approached it.

Also...Flo?

...yeah, and the Assembly is a singular body anyways, so my interpretation makes no grammatical sense in the first place.

I'm a dumbass. Sorry, Cynic and Flo.

I'm quite happy to see the budget out here, but we've gone plenty of times without one before.  When I was in the Assembly in 2012, I made a point of passing CR's to keep the government running while we got the budget through, but that really up to the Assembly now if they view it as that crucial of a situation.

Yeah, we'll update it as we go. Turns out my constitutional interpretation was literally based off of bad grammar, so we can take however long as we please to pass one.

Agreed. I will be pushing to keep stem cell research in our budget.

48 hours for the vote fell on Christmas Day.

I do not believe I should be penalized for not voting on Christmas Day.

Christmas Day is a non sitting day, so this bill should have had a 72 hour window in which to vote.

I had planned to vote on the day after Christmas.

Don't sweat it. You'll be active now.

The SOAP amendment passed after this vote began, the timing was going to be bad either way.

I realize the amendment passed after the vote began, however, it ended on Christmas Day, a non sitting day.  And the Governor cited me for missing a vote.

I never cited you. I simply told you not to worry about it because I have faith in your activity.
