The university should have known better. Milo is Richard Spencer with better PR, allowing him to step foot on campus is unacceptable.

Richard Spencer is an admitted White nationalist. Milo has renounced White nationalism, White supremacy, and racism. When you call Milo a Nazi, you're basically saying anyone who opposes open borders is a Nazi.

No, I'm calling Milo a Nazi because his "renouncing" was total b.s.. Should I only attack racists who admit that they're racist?

Why do you assume it was BS? Why do you assume he is a Nazi? What does being a Nazi mean? Do you think he advocates genocide? When has he done this? He has been anti-violence throughout his entire career.

Also I should have said "denounce" rather than 'renounce" as Milo has never claimed to be a White nationalist or a White supremacist.

Forgive me if I have different standards for constitutes a racist than yourself, considering your posting history...

What exactly is your standard though? It seems important to establish since you think violence is just justified against racists. Milo has fairly generic conservative views. Do you think violence is justified against all conservatives?

Can you punch an ICE agent in the face? Surely, if you can assault someone for reporting an immigrant, you should be able to do far worse to someone who is actually doing the deporting?

LOL@anyone who thinks this will have any impact on elections.

If this was one isolated incident, it wouldn't but it's not. Probably 2 thirds of my left leaning friends support this kind of activity. They think violence is justified in reaction to racism and their definition of racism is extremely broad and nebulous. It's the norm on college campuses now.

I suggest you read the books Nixonland and The Invisible Bridge by Rick Perlstein, a liberal writer, who talks about how campus militancy in the 60s was instrumental in fueling the rise of Nixon and Reagan.

Simply stated, the most recent time in American history where the left was known for both protesting as well as radical terrorist activity coincided with the ascendance and reign of Richard Nixon and was followed by a swelling of the prison-industrial complex. In what world does this work out? I don't mean to suggest that the left here back's this activity, but I'm genuinely perplexed as to the long-term narrative in the actor's mind (I doubt there is one). The denizens of Other Atlas have come out in support of this tactical idiocy.

So, you think that this is all a strategy to get millions in jail?

No, he's saying that could be an unintentional result.

I know some of the people who protested McInnis. Definitely not alt-right. I could buy that they are CIA plants though. It's the same group of anarchists who "opposed representative democracy" at Occupy and would contest literally every motion and say it had to be voted on by a literally infinite number of people or else it wasn't "real democracy". Also a chance though that they are just stupid. Anarchism is a stupid ideology.
