Among Republicans, it's possible that their female candidates in 2018, like Blackburn On the other hand, Democrats probably be affected as much, though it still could hurt them in states like Wisconisn in 2018, where Baldwin will likely face a male opponent.

It's too soon to tell about 2020 on the Democratic side, and it will only matter among Republicans if Trump doesn't run and someone like Nikki Haley/Susana Martinez/Kelly Ayotte/Kay Ivey/Kim Reynolds enters the race.
