Kaine endorsed Obama in the 2008 primaries, and such an early endorsement could be read as a move to make amends with Clinton--to put himself in her good graces, so that he'll be considered as an option to be her running mate.


Be realistic, you simply can't make amends with the Clintons, whose egos are only topped, by their penchant for carrying grudges. (I'm pretty sure she still doesn't speak to Claire McCaskill)
