The nothingburger will continue to matter. Clinton loses when her emails are in the media's headlines, regardless of whether it's a nothingburger or a somethingburger. The only way this stops mattering is if the news becomes dominated by another Trump oppo dump

So.... apparently the emails relevant to HRC came from Wiener, but how were they relevant? This seems to have nothing to do with classified info, but if it didn't why did Comey re-open this sh**t?

Important point about why Comey had to send this letter, and why today.

Comey testified under oath to Congress that the investigation was "complete".  The letter is an amendment to that statement.  And as that was under oath, he could theoretically be under some legal jeopardy if he did not issue timely notification that his testimony had to be modified.

That could tell us that there's less here than we think, but it seems this letter is purely for Comey to covering himself with Congress.

That answers my question. Would have been nice if he mentioned how small a deal this is in that letter but w/e. (Politico, my main political news source this whole cycle, hasn't updated the story as far as I know)

You're just realizing now that Politico is terrible?

But now Atlas is the one with the slightly misleading title.

The emails were not Wiener emails, they were Huma emails.

I dont go at Atlas for my news, I go to Atlas for discussion and geekery. And Politico hasn't updated to Puma, they're still on the original headlne

FBI Sources saying emails are from Huma to Hillary, recovered from Huma's phone. Would not affect FBI decision to not charge in case.
