Kanye hasn't even figured out how to vote, much less get on a ballot.

There’s ALOT of enthusiasm on Twitter about his supposed candidacy from young people who say they hate both candidates and think they’re both equally bad (which I disagree with). I know twitter doesn’t matter and it didn’t help Bernie or Cenk, but still, it’s really scary the level of apathy I’ve seen. The level of disillusionment.

Lol.  The youth are apathetic and disillusioned?  When have the youth not been apathetic and disillusioned?

The sad thing is that Kanye would probably have a better criminal justice plan than the other two candidates.

Is this the same Kanye West who said that slavery is a choice?

That was his evil twin, Klanye.

When they turned out in droves for the optimistic 2008 candidacy of Barack Obama (their turnout has been differential in other elections to significant extents, such as the 2018 midterms, but that's probably the best example of an unambiguously positive vote). Their disillusionment has grown in line with an increasingly common sentiment within other sections of society.

And that lasted til like 2010

This sounds more serious than I thought, actually.

(Especially considering that Oklahoma is apparently the strictest state when it comes to third party qualifying for the ballot: the Democrat and the Republican were the only people on the ballot in 2004, 2008 and 2012)

Oklahoma is the easiest state to get on the ballot. All it takes is a $35,000 fee and a statement that your running.

So why are third parties so scarce on Oklahoma presidential ballots? Is it because they cannot or do not want pay thirty-five thousand dollars?

This is the most likely reason. A lot of smaller parties might have enough grassroots support to make signature requirements but lack the funds to purchase ballot access.

Oklahoma changed their ballot access in 2017 to where you could buy your way on.  Too bad they didn't see the rube Kanye coming and make it $1 million dollars.
