lol@ mental deficients getting scammed by criminals! It's the funniest thing ever! ![Roll Eyes](https://talkelections.org/FORUM/Smileys/classic/rolleyes.gif)
No wonder the Update was so popular here, a large section of this community is morally bankrupt.
Who is saying this is funny?
I thought that was the take Joe and others was ..ahem....taking. If I'm wrong and they feel bad about what is happening to these stupid old people, then that's fine and I fully retract my post and apologize for the hijack.
Perhaps I was projecting. It happens to me all the time. I post something, and an angry person (or 7) assumes I'm doing it out of anger and not mockery. If I posted something like the OP it would be in mockery. Is Joe known for feeling bad when bad things happen to Trump supporters? I assumed he was not, but perhaps I'm wrong.
Well, of course the problem is that the vast majority of grifters running schemes like this are certainly Trumpers in reality or spirit (maybe they're foreigners who can't vote) and to receiver their cosmic comeuppance they must be prosecuted, and maybe the scammed will get some of their money back, even though as Trumpers they deserved to get boned. It's hard to come up with a scenario where just Trumpers have bad things happen to them without it causing harm to others (although this scheme may come pretty close, coal may also come pretty close--though bad things happen to them no matter what).
You see commercials for these things all the time, Pat Boone removed from his crypt to tout the importance of gold, Tom Selleck shilling for reverse mortgages, Kelsey Grammar's wise voice telling you which Medicaid supplement you need, etc... SNL even made a parody of it years back where Sam Waterstone warned the elderly of the dangers of robots.
It would be swell if there were ironclad laws and enforcement that stomped these things out, but the devil's in the details and when you plug one hole grifters always exploit another. So, it's a never ending battle.
As for Bushie, much of his lore predates my time here and while I did read the Updates from time to time it wasn't anything I actively followed or cared about it's disappearance. I did notice that amid all the "joy" of everyone watching Bushie step on the rake again and again there was genuine effort on the part of some, maybe many, to provide advice to him to somehow end the cycle. You see people here trying to provide one another advice all the time, in good faith, whether the advice is good or not, who knows.
