I think we could have obama winning 52% of the popular vote and McCain wining 46-47% and still win the electoral college.  If he's running up margins like 60% in NY and CA ect..

It would signal the end of the stupid electoral college which is a outdated system.  Or atleast it should.

Obama should help coattail a Democratic State Senate into power. As for the Republican Congressional districts, 3-4 of the last 6 are going to flip.

Interesting, Obama wins NYC by 53 points, not really a surprise.
But then he only leads in the suburbs by 3 points, while he wins upstate by 19 points.

Democrat 52% (56%): McCain 12% (13%); Obama 85% (85%)

Independent 18% (17%): McCain 38% (41%); Obama 52% (42%)

Conservative 24% (21%): McCain 66% (62%); Obama 31% (32%)

Moderate 42% (36%): McCain 32% (33%); Obama 63% (63%)
