Finally, some good news for Republicans. McCain has a healthy lead in Tennessee.

Could TN actually post the worst showing for Obama in Dixie or will AL beat her to it?

AL, by at least 4% more than TN.

Well, it's good to see that we're no longer losing by 20+ points in the state.

This state was never in play this year and it never will be.

A bit disappointing, I thought that McCain would break 60 here; doesn't look like it anymore...

It will probably be something like 58-40 in the end.

Last time: R+27
This time: R+15
Next time: R+3
Time after: D+9
Time after: D+21
Time after: D+33
Time after: D+45
Time after: D+57
Time after: D+69
Time after: D+81
Time after: D+99

Obviously, TN needs to be polled 9 more times.

I could see McCain get to 60% here, it's just not a good area for Obama.

Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama will all probably see McCain approaching 60%.  I'm tempted to add West Virginia to that list but there have only been two polls out of there with an Obama McCain match-up so its hard to say.

Obama has rebounded a lot in the Appalachian (+Arkansas) states since the primary ended. I don't think McCain will be breaking 60 in any of them, something I thought he had a good chance of a few months ago.
