It's nice to see a realistic poll from the Deep South for once.

Oh, and nice racial voting, there.  Yuck.

Why did you put it in as McCain vs Clinton? Dave want us to put it in as Giuliani vs Clinton for now. If you are not going to do what Daves ask then don't add polls.

Jeez no need to be offensive to him.

Racial voting?  You bet.  It happens all over the country and even within the Democratic Party.  See every national Democratic preference poll published so far - breakdown of the Obama vote and the Hillary vote.  Uh, see any pattern there?

That is not racial. It is because Clinton is becoming very unpopular among African Americans, because of her stupid MLK comments.

I was talking about the Obama performance vs. Clinton...Obama must be getting, like, zero white voters vs. McCain.

No kidding.

Although I kinda get that.  I mean, I don't like racial voting either way.  But the idea of a black person wanting the first black president is a little less sad to me than a white Democrat refusing to vote for a candidate because he is black.

(I know there are more complex things going on here, but that's going on too.)

No doubt it is sad. Both of my Grandparents were Kerry voters last time in the all important swing state of Ohio, and vowed that if Obama is the Democratic nominee...they will stay home. I'm sure they are not the only ones...and it's sad when people choose to view him on the color of his skin rather than his experience or past positions.

The racial component in the Ohio vote is especially strong there.  Clinton has consistently run 5 or 6 pts ahead of Obama in all Ohio general election polls against any Republican nominee.

Yeah. That is very sad, it might change  soon. I hope....

Remind me to make a map comparing Obama's performance to Clinton's in different states.  I have a feeling it will be interesting.

According to the last ACS, 70% of people in Alabama are white and 26% are black. Just thought I'd make some people feel sick.

Now that's what I call racial polarization!

When did he say that ? Giuliani obviously isnīt the frontrunner anymore. Itīs time to change the polls.

The racial voting aspect is what has always made me question the premise floated around this forum that Obama is the stronger candidate.

Alabama is obviously dead center in observation, and SUSA, above all polling companies, should be able to spot this aspect best.  (why: automated polling)

To be fair, that's because he has none.

Sorry if I came off to strong, but some people are trying to add polls to fix who they think are going to win the nom for each party, but you are right Giuliani isn't the frontrunner, no one is. He said it in this thread right here.
