I have a good campaign slogan, "Give me Liberty, or give me death." Might be a bit extreme though. Title: Re:Liberty for Senate Post by: Schmitz in 1972 on June 08, 2004, 08:02:08 PM Where I stand on some issues
I am for simplification of election processes, law making processes etc. in this forum I am agianst all abortions I am for minimal government, reduced spending, and low taxes I am against activist courts and call for impeachment and removal of all I am for a non-interventionalist foreign policy I am in favor of a strong defense that should be enough to get things started, if you want to know where I stand on anything else ask me. I've been eagerly awaiting your reply.

I almst kinda semi-agree with your court idea. but I think we do need one. Either way, I doubt i'd vote for you :p Title: Re:Liberty for Senate Post by: KEmperor on June 08, 2004, 11:34:00 PM At any rate, a very right wing independent newcomer should make things interesting in this race.
Title: Re:Liberty for Senate Post by: Fmr. Gov. NickG on June 08, 2004, 11:53:55 PM Beet will win this race in a blow-out. Title: Re:Liberty for Senate Post by: KEmperor on June 08, 2004, 11:56:39 PM Beet will win this race in a blow-out. Quite possible, but it's still early in the race. Title: Re:Liberty for Senate Post by: migrendel on June 09, 2004, 09:59:09 AM He's written too much vitriol and too many poorly reasoned arguments to be a Senator that could adequately represent anyone. For example, his Constitutional argument and my reply.
Title: Re:Liberty for Senate Post by: Schmitz in 1972 on June 09, 2004, 03:55:30 PM Thank you for calling some important things to my attention migrendal, I will do my best to address them
All right, I admit my Constitutional argument was flawed, but anyone can make a mistake, especially if you're not a law scholar. It is true that there may not be any legal grounds as your well researched argument states. However, I will never believe abortion is right and will support any legislation limiting the act on the grounds that I believe it infanticide One more thing migrendal, I don't really believe I have a chance to win. I'm only running to get acquainted with process and the fantasy forum. If in an upset I am elected I would be most appreciative and would do my best as Senator. |
