Hurrah!

It has always bothered me that there is no easy way to know exactly how much you are spending when you visit a retail store or an online vendor: this, of course, is due to the habit of labeling items with their pre-tax price and revealing the final total at the register. While Frémont thankfully has no sales tax, where excise or local taxes may effect the price of a particular item (alcohol and tobacco products for instance), this legislation would require retailers to state the full price —tax inclusive —on all tags and promotional materials which state an exact price.
