His reason for doing so in the first place were mainly geopolitical: he was afraid that if the illegals returned to Mexico, they would vote in a communist government into power. The GOP is the party of law and order. The notion that we have to pander to Democrats who believe that those who break our laws to enter our country illegally should be rewarded with not just government benefits but also U.S. citizenship, is pretty ridiculous.
