Doug Duncan said that local governments should embrace illegal aliens?!

That just dented my support for him as governor down a notch, even though I don't like Ehrlich very much.

Of course, this story may not be completely true, as it comes from the hopelessly partisan Washington Times.

This is a major plus for Erhlich. Illegal immigration is so unpopular that it could make the difference even in a race like this.

Exactly!

While Richardson took a wise (and bold) step away from political correctness and a step toward sanity, the interesting thing is that while a large number of Republican officeholders are moving in that direction, I haven't heard other prominent Democrats following Richardson.

This matter could save Erlich and other vunerable Republicans if the Democrat candidates don't 'get it.'

The main issue I disagree with Duncan on is illegal immigration.
