Title: Why did W Bush do pretty well in deep blue Oregon?
Post by: Arbitrage1980 on October 02, 2016, 01:02:49 PM
In 2000, he lost it by just 0.44%; in 2004 he lost it by 4.16%. Even when you account for Nader's performance in the state in 2000, Bush still did extremely well for a republican. And from my understanding, the state has always been overwhelmingly white. Was there a more conservative element in the state in 00 and 04?
