Title: 2020: Trump's reelection
Post by: Senator-elect Spark on October 01, 2016, 06:49:25 PM
Let's say Trump wins the 2016 election in a close race:

(
)

Businessman Donald Trump (R-NY) / Gov. Michael Pence (R-IN) - 273 EVs, (48.7%)
Fmr. SoS Hillary Clinton (D-NY) / Sen. Timothy Kaine (D-VA) - 265 EVs, (49.3%)

Trump has a successful first term and a 50+ approval rating, and is challenged by a far left opponent of your choice in 2020, how does the election go?

Trump has a successful first term and a 50+ approval rating

A) That will never happen
B) He would win in an Eisenhower-level landslide with those approvals

Seriously wtf

The only way he'll be reelected in 2020 is:

1) A terrorist attack pulls people away from Clinton and makes Trump the winner in this year.
2) Kanye West is the Democratic nominee in 2020.

40% chance he wins re-election normally
20% chance he declares himself Dictator for Life and abolishes elections, dissolving Congress and SCOTUS, and imprisoning anyone who tries to stop him
40% chance he loses re-election
