2017-2021: Businessman Donald Trump/Governor Mike Pence
2021-2025: Former Senator Elizabeth Warren*/Governor Bill De Blasio


*retired in 2018 to run for President
When the minor recession began in November of 2020, most blamed Trump, but Warren's temporary fix only lasted until September of 2022. The recession started up again in full force by June of 2023. Warren announced her retirement.

Governor Mark Begich and Senator Richard Tisei are the nominees. Warren's approval ratings are 42/50. The running mates are Senator Michelle Nunn, elected in 2020, and Governor Cathy McMorris Rodgers, elected in 2020.

I think that Alaska is more likely to switch its usual party than Massachusetts, though both would be close, while the VP candidates seem less likely to be able to swing their states.
